Mellizos is a small studio in Malta. Our first product is NewsNetWide: a free globe that maps market, economy and policy news by country and explains it in plain language. Behind it runs the engine we’re turning into tools for businesses.

We automate the whole pipeline (collecting, removing duplicates, sorting by country and topic, explaining and translating) so that one person can run a worldwide news service.

Mission
To turn the world’s financial news from an endless feed into a map: sorted by place, explained in plain words, free to read and always linked to the original source.
Why NewsNetWide
The problem. Financial news is written for professionals and delivered as a feed: everything in one column, sorted by time, mostly in English. Young and everyday investors get the headline but not the context — where it happened, what it means, and whether it touches what they own.
Our answer. A globe. Every country carries its own market, economy, central-bank, policy and company news. Each story comes with a plain-language explanation and official figures (growth, inflation, jobs), each with one sentence on what it means. It’s in eight languages, and it never gives tips or signals: context, not advice.

- Widgets that brokers and financial educators can add to their own websites.
- Portfolio Country Feed: an API that shows investing-app users the news from the countries their money is in.
- For AI assistants (MCP): sourced, explained market context that AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT can use.
We are talking to brokers and fintechs now. Pro is not on sale yet.
Mellizos — “twins”Who’s behind it
Riccardo. One person, in Malta.
I’m Riccardo Murgia, a finance student based in Malta. I designed NewsNetWide and direct its development; it is built with AI coding assistants, which is how one person can run a product this size.
Mellizos means “twins” in Spanish. I came up with the name four years ago together with my best friend. The idea behind it: a twin is the missing piece of the puzzle — the part that completes what you already have. For financial news, that missing piece is context. That’s what we build.
